It's almost time to grab my bag and head off to the Polyglot Gathering 2017 in Bratislava, Slovakia! I'm especially excited as this will be my first Gathering and I'm looking forward to not only getting in some quality time with my team from Lingvist who will be joining me there to mix and mingle with the rest of our language tribe, but to also meet and nerd-out with other polyglots and hyperglots.

I'm fortunate enough to be giving my first presentation of 2017 at the Gathering, and you can catch my talk, entitled AI and the Polyglot: Perfect Together in one of the 15-16h slots right after lunch on Friday June 2, 2017.  

I won't smack you in the eyes with the abstract, but it's safe to say that I'll be talking about how the educational future that Isaac Asimov told Bill Moyers about in 1988 is actually our "right now", and how artificial intelligence can not only help new language learners overcome their self-set limitations, but how it can help even the most motivated and fearless of language learners — us polyglots — to take an even more direct and efficient route to real, lasting fluency.
